What should’ve been a joyful lead-up to the wedding of Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana and musician Palaash Muchhal has now turned into a whirlwind of rumours, accusations, and social media chaos. The couple recently postponed their wedding, with both families citing health-related reasons, but that didn’t stop the internet from spiraling into speculation mode.
Soon after the postponement, fans noticed something odd – Smriti deleted all her wedding-related posts on Instagram. That alone was enough for social media to jump to conclusions, and within hours, rumours started flying thick and fast. Some posts went as far as alleging that Palaash had cheated on Smriti with choreographers Nandika Diwedi and Gulnaaz from the Bosco group – claims that were never verified but still spread like wildfire.
Nandika Diwedi Responds
After days of online chatter, Nandika finally broke her silence. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she made it clear that she had nothing to do with the couple’s personal situation.
“It’s extremely painful to watch a narrative form around something I had no part in,” she wrote. She called out media outlets for amplifying unverified Reddit claims, stressing that the rumours had taken a toll on her mental health and even led to threats, which forced her to make her account private.

Her message was simple – stop dragging her into something she isn’t involved in.
Gulnaaz Also Clears the Air
As speculation continued, choreographer Gulnaaz also stepped in to address the situation. She categorically stated that neither she nor Nandika had any connection to the issue.
“Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we’re connected to their personal matters,” she wrote, urging people to avoid jumping to conclusions.
Silence From Smriti and Palaash
Interestingly, neither Smriti Mandhana nor Palaash Muchhal nor their families have commented on the controversy. Apart from the initial “health-related” explanation for postponing the ceremony, both sides have remained completely silent, which has only fuelled more speculation online.
Rumours Without Basis
At this point, everything circulating is unverified chatter, no confirmations, no statements, no clarity. The only confirmed facts are the postponement and the two choreographers’ strong denial of involvement.
Until the families choose to speak, the responsible thing and the humane thing is to avoid piling onto baseless theories about people’s personal lives. As Nandika said herself, “Eventually, the truth will find its way.”
