The wedding was conducted in a gorgeous ceremony held at the Holmenkollen Chapel in Oslo, Norway, over the weekend. The newlyweds then partied at the city’s luxurious 5-star Grand Hotel. According to local reports, the wedding occurred at -7°C in the city.

Ella Victoria Malone is now Ella Victoria Carlsen. She is 26 years old, with a mixed background; her mother is Norwegian and her father is American. She spent some of her childhood in Oslo, Norway, and later in the United States, where she was educated. She has been residing in Singapore for many years, with permanent residency. Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet revealed that a Netflix crew was present at Magnus Carlsen and Ella Victoria Malone’s wedding. According to reports, Netflix is currently filming a chess-themed TV series, which is expected to be released in 2025. Dagbladet added that it “has not been able to confirm whether they are on assignment for Netflix.”

Ahead of the German Bundesliga, Magnus Carlsen is going to make his debut for St Pauli this Friday against Düsseldorf, with current World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju on the opposing side. Last week, he had grabbed all the attention in the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championship for wearing jeans during a game and later for pulling out after being fined.
