Fresh Pitch For IND vs AUS Clash?
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium has hosted three matches so far, especially for Team India where India played against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand, with a different pitch. However, the 1st semi-final game will feature a completely new surface.
The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), under whose control the stadium lies, prepares the pitches, with oversight from the International Cricket Council (ICC). Matthew Sandery, an Australian, curates the surfaces for both DICS and the ICC Academy.

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma shared his opinion, “we don’t know which pitch is going to be played” for the semi-final, he struck the nail on the head. His team has an uncertain task ahead as the pitch for the first semi-final of the Champions Trophy against Australia will be completely new.

A narrative emerged from cricketing pundits and critics suggesting that India has had an unfair advantage by playing at the same venue during the Champions Trophy.
