Champions Trophy 2025: Team India has been on roll after winning two-consecutive matches of the group stage of the Champions Trophy 2025. In a game against Pakistan, Virat Kohli showed his class and slammed his 51st ODI century to win a sensational game by 6 wickets.
Virat Kohli’s Milestone
The former Indian skipper surpassed Australian great Ricky Ponting to become the third-highest run-getter in international cricket. He crossed the 14,000 runs mark in ODIs and also became the fastest to do so. In 299 ODIs, Kohli has scored 14,085 runs at an average of 58.20, with 51 centuries and 73 fifties.

When Gautam Gambhir Was Asked About Kohli’s Future
Despite his sensational knock last night, team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir was about Kohli’s future. According to Inside Sports, Gambhir said – “Hours after Virat Kohli’s superlative performance against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy match in Dubai on Sunday — it has come to light that chief selector Ajit Agarkar and coach Gautam Gambhir had wanted to know the star batter’s “future plan” during the fag end of the Australian tour when runs weren’t coming that freely.
By asking such a question about his future plan, the selector and coach perhaps wanted clarity about Kohli’s preferences,”
