Sri Lanka started their innings by hitting 281 runs with four wickets before their 50-over completion. The opening batsman Nissan Madushka of Sri Lanka managed to score 51 runs from his 70-ball innings. Additionally, Kusal Mendis scored 101 runs. Meanwhile, Captain Asalanka scored 78 runs. In the late phase of the innings Janith Liyanage hit 32 runs from his 21 delivered balls. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes. While sri Lankan opener Ben Dwarshuis and Hardy, Abbott and Zampa accomplished one wicket each during the Australia innings.
