Champions Trophy 2025: In the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, Team India might have to play on the used surface of Dubai International Stadium where ILT20 2025 was played. This thing has created a bizarre news ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 as all India games will be played on this ground. India will be playing it’s first game against Bangladesh on February 20.

The Reason Of Used Pitch
On this ground, there have been a fair amount of cricket has been played like from Women’s T20 World Cup last year to ILT20 leagues.
The ground hosted Dubai Capitals (DICS) which hosted 15 matches which also includes 2 knockout games.
“There are 10 match strips at the DICS. During the league stage, there was specific instructions that those two won’t be used now and needed to be kept fresh for the Champions Trophy,” a source in the know of things told PTI.
“However whether any of the two was used for the play-offs isn’t known. The idea is to ensure that it doesn’t become low and slow after over-use and matches become drag. The fresh pitches will aid the batters and bowlers in equal measure.”
