Opening Goal
The Spanish giants seemed to revive their form in defense of the Champions League Title. The game was equally matched in the starting minutes until Kylian scored a fantastic goal beating a defender with sharp chop, barring the ball in the nets. He scored his 50th goal in the competition, becoming the 4th player to reach the 50-goal tally in 79 matches in the UEFA Champions League after Robert Lewandowski. But his night was cut off short, forced for substitution before half-time being injured.

The Equaliser
Atalanta reacted in the closing minutes of the first half from a spot given away by Aurelien Tchouameni fouling Sead Kolasinac. The Belgian midfielder De Ketelaere made no mistake putting it in the top corner, levelling the scoreline.
Vini jr Returns
Coming back from an injury, Vinicius Jr delivered a sharp goal in the 11th minute into the second half. The goal gave the hosting side a lead for the second time in the game.
Jude’s Third Goal Contribution
Jude received the ball in the opposition box, cut inside a defender, took a shot from his wrong foot, and scored a promising goal. The goal from Jude Bellingham gave breathing room for the home side which created a goal difference of 2.
A Late Goal For The Atalanta
Ademola Lookman was a constant threat in the left flank in Madrid’s half and finally got his goal into the 65th minute of the game. He cut inside and found the side nets beating Courtois. The game would have gone either way, looking into the threat Atalanta was delivering with 25 minutes remaining.
Summary Of The Match
Although the visiting side won the game, it was far from a comfortable win by the looks of it. There was just a thin line between the sides. It would have ended in a draw with a last-minute shot from Mateo Retegui went out just in front of the goal, which would have levelled the 3-3.
The win improved the rankings of the Spanish giants, putting them in the 18th place in the league.
