Champions Trophy 2025: The ICC has officially announced the fixtures and groupings for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, set to kick off on February 19 in Karachi, with the grand final scheduled for March 9.
This eight-team tournament will feature 15 thrilling matches across two countries – Pakistan and Dubai. In Pakistan, the cities of Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi will host the games, with each venue featuring three group-stage matches. Lahore will also host the second semi-final, as well as the final, unless India qualifies, in which case the final will move to Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.
The tournament’s opening match will see Pakistan face New Zealand in Karachi on February 19, while Dubai’s leg of the tournament will start the following day with India taking on Bangladesh.
Group B action kicks off on February 21, with Afghanistan taking on South Africa in Karachi.
Then, a thrilling weekend follows, starting with the intense rivalry between England and Australia in Lahore on Saturday, February 22. The excitement peaks the very next day with the much-awaited Pakistan vs India clash.
The eight teams competing for the coveted white winners’ jackets are the top eight finishers from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, ensuring a highly competitive tournament ahead.
