Braun Strowman honours John Cena with emotional message ahead of WWE legend’s final match

Strowman was dismissed from the company in May 2025. In his last WWE match on the April 18 edition of SmackDown.

Today’s social media post by Braun Strowman, a former WWE superstar, was heartfelt and dedicated to John Cena. The iconic figure is scheduled to perform in his last match, during Saturday Night’s Main Event, on Dec. 13.

Strowman was dismissed from the company in May 2025. In his last WWE match on the April 18 edition of SmackDown, he teamed up with LA Knight to defeat Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Additionally, the Monster of All Monsters is the host of the well-liked USA Network show Everything on the Menu.

Braun Strowman pays heartfelt tribute to John Cena

The former champion chose to share his social media tribute to the 48-year-old today. Incredibly thankful for having had the opportunity to work with Cena, Strowman said that Cena is the best of all time.

“Not many people get to go out on their own terms in the wrestling business. @johncena has told one hell of a story his entire career and doing the business a huge favor on his way out. He doesn’t have to he does it cause he loves it. This was the last them we had a singles match and John was always good to me in the ring and behind the curtain. Honored to have been a small part of you life’s work. You really are the #GOAT,” he wrote.

Finn Balor praises John Cena’s strength ahead of tournament finale

In the concluding match of the Last Time Is Now Tournament, LA Knight and Gunther will clash to find out the winner who will have the opportunity to face John Cena in his retirement match later this month. Famous wrestler from WWE compliments John Cena’s power. After hitting the legend at the WWE Survivor Series, the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor showered praises on John Cena, regarding his strength.

Balor reacts to Cena’s stunning display of strength at Youth PLE

Last Saturday night, Dominik Mysterio put his title to the Youth PLE and challenged Cena for the Intercontinental Championship. The match got interfered by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, but Cena lifted them both up and smashed them down with a double Attitude Adjustment. After the event, Balor posted on the internet, praising the power of Cena.

“I used to think John Cena was strong… I was wrong, He is REALLY strong,” he wrote.
