Gill out for the Adelaide Test?
Gill has sustained a thumb injury at a practice session before the first Test in Perth. He was advised a 10-14 days rest by the medical team after the injury and had to sit for the Perth Test. But now after speculations regarding his appearance in the warm up match in Canberra has raised serious concerns about his recovery and coming into view for the much awaited second test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
The two-day practice game scheduled for November 31-December 1 was to serve as practice for the India vs Australia 2nd pink ball Test, but he won’t be available for that and remains doubtful for Adelaide. One thought that he was on the cusp of recovery, but no, that’s not the case. Gill is expected to miss the India vs Prime Minister’s XI Day and Night match at the Manuka Oval.
