Rohit Sharma to Join Squad Before First Test
India captain Rohit Sharma, who was recently blessed with a baby boy, is expected to join the team before the first Test in Perth. Alongside him, experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami, fresh off his Ranji Trophy comeback, will travel to Australia as reported by Dainik Bhaskar. Shami is likely to be available for the second Test match, which will be played under lights at the Adelaide Oval.
Mohammed Shami’s Impressive Comeback
Shami marked his return to competitive cricket in style, playing for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy 2024 match against Madhya Pradesh. The seasoned pacer dismantled the opposition’s batting line-up, picking up 4/54 in the first innings and adding three more wickets in the second innings. With the bat, Shami contributed a quickfire 37 off 36 balls, hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.
