With the ongoing entanglement between ICC, BCCI and PCB over India demanding for a hybrid model where India matches could be played at a neutral venue, an annoyed Latif threatened India by flaunting his proximity to India’s most wanted criminal, Dawood Ibrahim by saying, “What do you think, whom are you messing with, we live near Bhai’s house.” He is accused of the ghastly 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts that left 257 dead and over 1,400 injured amidst the ongoing tussle between the ICC, BCCI and PCB.
In a Pakistani YouTube show ‘Caught Behind’, former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif boasted proximity to Dawood Ibrahim. Speaking to the host, Dr Nauman Niaz, Latif said, “What do you think, whom are you messing with, we live near Bhai’s house.” Latif lives in Karachi, the same city where renegade Indian gangster Dawood Ibrahim is reported to be living, under the protection of Pakistan intelligence agency ISI.

Though this was not the first time that the Pakistani cricketer made any threatening comments. Earlier too he said that his ancestors were the ’14 dons’ in India and he should not be instigated to become one himself. Now that the PCB has agreed for the hybrid model, it would be alluring how the ‘don’ settles this dispute as PCB agreed to the demands of BCCI.
