A joyous occasion for RCB became the worts one possible when what happened a day later unfolded. After winning for the first time in 18 years, RCB were net with cheers in Bengaluru however 11 people died and almost 50 people were injured during the stampede. Four people have been held accountable for the involvement in the tragedy outside the Chinnaswamy stadium. It was reported by the police that Nikhli Sosale a renowned marketing official of the RCB, was arrested. The BCCI is considering implementing guidelines for victory celebrations.
BCCI’s Statement After The Stampede Incident
“At some stage BCCI will have to do something. We cannot be a silent spectator,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told Cricbuzz.

“It was a private affair of RCB but we at the BCCI are responsible for cricket in India and we will try to ensure such incidents do not recur in future.”
Could This Be The Reason For Stampede
Even though many fans wanted their usual cricket excitement, the lack of certainty about the event’s running meant they did not know what the night would hold. Announcements about both Vidhana Soudha and the stadium were unclear which caused people to move between the two places all the time. The news reported that at least a few police officers could not fully grasp the schedule of the event. Although there was a formal event at Vidhana Soudha, the atmosphere at Kanteerava Stadium was still disorderly. Deccan Herald reports that due to a lack of communication ready, the ground staff could not guide the passengers.
