The vice-president of Board of Control Cricket in India (BCCI) Rajeev Shukla reinforced that India would not be playing any bilateral series with arch-rivals Pakistan. Both sides played series way back in 2012-2013 when Pakistan toured India to play limited-overs cricket series (T20Is-ODIs).
After 2008 Mumbai Terrorist Attack, Team India didn’t travel Pakistan since then. The last time India played against Pakistan in Pakistan was the Asia Cup, where Sri Lanka clinched the tournament by defeating India in final.
“We will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward.” Rajeev Shukla said. Speaking to SportsTak, he said – “We are with the victims and we condemn it. Whatever our government will say, we will do. We don’t play with Pakistan in bilateral series because of the government stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when it comes to ICC event we play due to ICC engagement. ICC is also aware whatever is happening they will to it,”.
