BCCI Central Contract 2025: The Board of Control Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce the new Central Contract for this year’s tenure. With new contracts, new roles along with salary raise will also be presented to new and existing players.
Apart from this, the A-Listers will mostly be retained but there is one player who’s position is at it’s stake. The player is none other than Team India’s ODI and Test skipper Rohit Sharma.
Rohit Sharma’s Retirement Speculations
There were several speculations related to Rohit Sharma’s retirement after Champions Trophy 2025 concluded but things changed when the Indian skipper refused all these speculations.
Rohit Sharma’s Form A Big Concern
Before the Champions Trophy 2025, the Hitman’s form was in spotlight with low scores. Despite of this, he is leading the side brilliantly and apart from this, Rohit performed well in the recently concluded Champions Trophy. The main question still remains “will Rohit Sharma retain his place in A+ Grade?”, the answer is YES.
Who Are In The A+ Grade In Current Contract?
In the current BCCI Central Contract, there are 4 players in the list with the likes of Rohit Sharma (himself), Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja. From this current contract, players might get retained.
Players Who Could Be Promoted To A-Grade
Axar Patel: The spin-all rounder Axar Patel is having a great period with the bat as well as with the ball in all forms of the game. His brilliant performances in both ICC events (T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy) showed his caliber on big stage. Patel who is in Grade-B has a chance to get promoted to Grade-A.
Kuldeep Yadav: The “Chinaman” bowler, Kuldeep Yadav’s resurgence is also one of the talking points in cricket. Kuldeep’s form played an important role in Team India’s conquest in both ICC tournaments. This time he has a chance to get promoted to Grade-A.
