BCCI Awards: THIS Team India Cricketer Will Win Indian Player Of The Year

Team India batter Shubman Gill will be awarded with the Indian cricketer of the year in the BCCI awards in Hyderabad

Indian star batter Shubman Gill will be reportedly given the Indian Cricketer of the year award by the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI). According to PTI, the 24-year-old will be presented by the honour at the BCCI Awards.

The BCCI shared details on January 22, revealing that Shubman Gill is set to receive an award. The ceremony is slated to occur two days prior to the commencement of the Test series between India and England in Hyderabad. The roster of other awardees include former Team India coach and player Ravi Shastri who will be honoured by the Lifetime Achievement Award. It will be intriguing to discover which other players will be acknowledged. Additionally, reports have emerged regarding the participation of players from both the Indian and English teams in this event.

Gill couldn’t start the ODI World Cup 2023 like he would have expected but did turn out to be an important batter for the Men In Blue in the quadrennial event. Gill also climbed up to the number one spot in ICC ODI batting rankings, piping rival Babar Azam to the feat.
