‘BCCI Has No Role In It’: Officials Deny Of Having Any Information About The Victory Celebration Parade | Reports

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given its first reaction on the stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given its first reaction on the stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The franchise, which won the title after 18 years, organized a victory parade outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium the very next day. In such a situation, 11 people died in this event due to an uncontrolled crowd. Now, the board secretary, Devjit Saikia, has given his first reaction on this.

What Did BCCI Say At The Bengaluru event?

Devjit Sakia said on behalf of BCCI that he had no information about the organization of the event. But the board will now keep a close eye on this matter so that no such event takes place in future. At the same time, separate guidelines will be issued in advance for such events in future. Let us tell you that even after the 2024 T20 World Cup, a victory parade was organized in Mumbai which was held in a very peaceful manner.

I think something went wrong during the event. BCCI has no role in this. But this is a lesson for us. We will make new rules regarding this and will see that such an incident never happens again.” Sakia told Sports Tak.

Celebrations Cannot Be Held At The Cost Of Life- Dhumal

Arun Dhumal said, “We had talked to the management. They had said that they will end this ceremony as soon as possible. But this is very sad. RCB officials had clearly told me that they will end it soon. The officials did not know what happened outside. My condolences are with everyone. We did not even know who had organized the event. How could so many people come inside the stadium. But no celebration can be held at the cost of life.”

Dhumal further said that it depends on the franchise how they organize the event. All the officials of the state government were present there.
