Pakistan captain Babar Azam reportedly plans to pursue legal action against YouTubers and former cricketers alleging ‘misconduct’ during their T20 World Cup campaign, as per Geo News sources.
Babar and the Pakistan team faced criticism from former players and fans due to their World Cup performance.
According to sources speaking to Geo News, a social media campaign targeted Babar during Pakistan’s campaign, causing him distress.
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s legal department is collecting evidence related to statements made by YouTubers and former cricketers.
Several players and officials arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on a private airline flight early Wednesday.
Returning players included Naseem Shah, Usman Khan, and senior manager Wahab Riaz. However, some squad members opted to remain in the United States after the team’s unexpected early exit from the tournament.

Babar, along with Imad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan, are set to depart on Saturday.
Following their appearance in the finals against England in the previous edition, Pakistan exited the ongoing World Cup in the group stage.
Pakistan concluded their campaign with a three-wicket victory over Ireland in Florida on Sunday, a match that held no bearing after India and the USA advanced to the Super 8 stage from Group A.
In Group A, Pakistan suffered consecutive defeats against co-hosts USA and arch-rivals India. Despite bouncing back with two consecutive wins, their efforts fell short in salvaging a dismal campaign and securing a Super 8 berth.
