The India national cricket team was wrapped up for 150 runs during the first innings of IND vs AUS 1st Test Day 1. The Indian team was completely exposed by the Australian bowlers wherein bowlers including Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh picked up ten wickets within each other. The Indian top order was completely exposed as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal were dismissed for ducks whereas Virat Kohli wasn’t able to hold himself on the crease for long and got out off Josh Hazlewood.

Team India Suffer Early Collapse

KL Rahul showcased some resistance along with Rishabh Pant and played some decent shots. However, his innings soon came to an end and was dismissed for 26 runs. While the Indian team was reduced to 47/4, Dhruv Jurel tried to build a partnership with Pant but in end his time at the crease came to an end and was dismissed by Mitchell Marsh. Sundar followed the footsteps of Jurel and fell for a score of 4 runs.

Nitish Kumar Reddy And Rishabh Pant Come Up For Team India’s Rescue

At one point, it looked like the Indian team will be wrapped up inside 100 runs, but Pant put up a stand of 48 runs off 85 balls for the seventh wicket. Both the batters played some brave shots and kept their side in the match. In the end, Pat Cummins was able to break Rishabh Pant’s concentration and removed the left-handed batter for a score of 37 runs. In the end, the Indian team lost their last three wickets in quick successions. Nitish Kumar Reddy was the highlight of India’s short stay at the crease wherein the debutant scored 41 runs off 59 balls which included six fours and one six.
