The 7th match of the Champions Trophy in Group B was supposed to take place today at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium at 2:30 pm IST with the Toss being scheduled for 2 pm IST. The play was initially delayed due to rain with a little drizzle but the rain showers continued to get heavier. This led to a delay in toss earlier which eventually led to the play being called off. Both the teams got 1 point each. There is no reserve day for group stage matches.

The weather for Rawalpindi had been painting a blurring picture since the morning of the play today. The chance of rain was 50% during the scheduled time of the play. Although it was assumed to be declining by 49% and later 45%, it rose again to 75% by 6 pm which flagged more disruptions in the play.

Rawalpindi is expected to experience Occasional morning rain. The whole day will otherwise experience a thick cloud cover with light showers.
