Suffering a second successive Test defeat against Australia, Pakistan cricket team have resorted to blame games.
Losing the 3-match Test series 2-0 at the MCG, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have decided to take action against Muhammad Rizwan’s ‘unfair’ dismissal in the 2nd Test against Australia.
Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez was visibly upset after the game and voiced his opinion on the decisions taken during the Melbourne Test as well.
“If you look at the entire game, there were very inconsistent decisions by the umpires. We play this beautiful game of cricket with natural instinct, and we all know the basics of the game. However, at times, it feels like the focus is more on technology than on the actual cricket being played. I believe this is an area that needs to be addressed,” Hafeez said.

The former also expressed the need for clarity and certainty in the sport.
“I am not against technology in the game. But if it brings doubt and confusion, it is not acceptable. Some decisions were not understandable. The ball hitting the stumps is always out. I will never understand why there is an umpire’s call,” he added.
ODI World Cup Antics
This is not the first time that the Men in Green have been called out for their antics in tournament or during a series. Pakistan cricket team head coach Micky Arthur was seen blaming the Ahmedabad crowd after his team faced defeat against their arch-rivals India in the ODI World Cup 2023 in front a packed Narendra Modi Stadium.
Micky Arthur had said that he couldn’t hear any ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ cheer from the crowd which might be the reason why his side’s morale was notably down during the encounter.
