IND vs PAK: As the epic Asia Cup 2025 final between arch-rivals India and Pakistan nears, the excitement is soaring, not just among players and experts, but from passionate young fans too!
Meet Saad, a spirited youngster decked out in the Indian jersey, proudly sporting the tricolour on his cheeks. With unstoppable confidence, he predicts a star performance from India’s captain:
“Suryakumar Yadav will shine the brightest for India. For Pakistan, I’m watching Saim Ayub,” Saad says. And his verdict? “India will win easily!”
Right beside him is Fatima, another young fan who’s placing her bets on India’s rising superstar Abhishek Sharma.
“I’m so excited! Abhishek will score the most runs, and Pakistan just can’t beat us. We’re bringing the cup home!” she declares with a beaming smile.
This final is historic – the first time in 41 years that India and Pakistan meet in an Asia Cup final. India has dominated Pakistan twice already in this tournament, winning both games comfortably. Pakistan enters the final as underdogs, having lost 12 of 15 T20I meetings against India.
Pakistan’s journey to the final wasn’t easy. Skipper Salman Agha’s team almost crashed out after a tough Super Fours battle against Bangladesh but showed grit to snatch an 11-run win and secure their spot.
India, meanwhile, battled injury concerns with key players Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya suffering cramps in their last match versus Sri Lanka. Luckily, both are fit and ready to light up the field in this fiery clash.
With passionate young fans like Saad and Fatima rallying behind them, and a strong, confident squad, India aims to continue its unbeaten streak and lift the Asia Cup 2025 trophy in Dubai.
