The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced that the Asia Cup 2025 will be held from 9 to 28 September. This time too the tournament will be played in T20 format and a total of 19 matches will be held. This time eight teams are participating in the tournament, which have been divided into two groups:
Group A: India, Pakistan, UAE, Oman
Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong
Each team will play with the other teams of its group and the top teams will reach the Super Four. Finally, the final match of the tournament will be played on 28 September.

ACC President Mohsin Naqvi officially confirmed the dates of the tournament and said that this edition will also be in T20 format. This competition is considered important in terms of preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Despite the busy international cricket schedule, a place has been found for this tournament in September.
