New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the 17-member squad for the forthcoming continental championship ‘Asia Cup.’ While, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah made their comeback to the squad after suffering from the injury, there are many big names who got dropped from the squad.

Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal has not been included in Team India for the Asia Cup which is the most shocking. Chahal was considered the main contender in the team. Chahal’s claim was strong. But his absence from the team was surprising.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
India’s pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also been dropped from the team. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar was being touted as a contender for the Asia Cup, he has been dropped from the squad. In such a situation, his claim in the World Cup has also become weak.
Shikhar Dhawan
Team India’s star opening batter Shikhar Dhawan has also not been included in the team selected for the Asia Cup. Dhawan’s name also emerged as a contender for the team. It was believed that he could be included in the team for the opening. But this time he has not been given a chance.
Sanju Samson
