New Delhi: Pakistan will take on Hong Kong on September 3, Friday. While the two teams will lock horns to fight for a place in Super 4, India will look forward to this game for a very specific reason.

The winner will play India, while the loser will be eliminated from the Asia Cup 2022.

Asia Cup 2022 Format
The Asia Cup 2022 started with two groups. Group A with India, Pakistan, and Hong Kong while Group B had Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. The top two teams in each group qualify for the next stage, the Super 4.
Afghanistan topped Group B with 4 points and qualified for the Super 4 stage with wins over Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. India were the second to qualify by becoming Group A topper with 4 points with wins over Pakistan and Hong Kong. Last night Sri Lanka became the third qualifier by beating Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka won against Bangladesh by two wickets to seal a Super 4 spot in the Asia Cup here. The loss sent Bangladesh out of the tournament. If Pakistan beats Hong Kong, then they will again meet arch-rivals India securing the last spot in the Super 4.
When will Super 4 competition start?
Super-4 Schedule of Asia Cup will begin on September 3, when Afghanistan will face Sri Lanka. While, India’s Super-4 match will start on September 4, facing the winner of Pakistan or Hong Kong. After that India will face Sri Lanka on September 6, and Afghanistan on September 8.
