New Delhi: Mohammad Hasnain has been selected as the replacement of the Shaheen Shah Afridi who has been ruled after a knee injury.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in a statement that Hasnain will be playing for the side in the upcoming Asian Cup 2022. The 22-year-old pacer is currently in United Kingdom playing for the Oval Invincible in The Hundred Competition.

The cricketer has played a total of 18 T20Is for the country and has taken 17 wickets. With his ability to bowl at 150 kph, he got himself a place in Pakistan team for 50-overs World Cup squad. He was, however, called for chucking and lost the golden opportunity.
However, he bounced back after the correction work suggested by ICC and became a hit in English country circuit.

India vs Pakistan
The Asia Cup 2022 will be played between August 27 and September 11. The first game of Pakistan will be against their arch-rivals India.
