Dubai: In an official statement released by Pakistan Cricket Board, it has been announced that the team would be showing support to the flood affectees in the country.
“Pakistan cricket team will wear black arm bands in their first match of ACC T20 Asia Cup 2022 against India today to express their solidarity and support for the flood affectees across the country,” read the statement.

Asia Cup 2022 has started in UAE with Afghanistan winning against Sri Lanka in the opening game. On the second day, India is set to take on Pakistan in the historic fixture of the tournament.
On the other hand, Pakistan has been severely affected by the monsoon flooding and the government has declared an emergency. More than four million people have been affected by the floods while around 900 have been killed in the disaster.
The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) has announced that over 4.2 million people were affected while 220,000 homes were destroyed and half a million are severely damaged.
