Aryna Sabalenka has retained her US Open 2025 title with straight sets win against American Amanda Anisimova in the final. The world no. 1 just took an hour and 34 minutes to clinch the victory by 6-3, 7-3 (3) at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. This is also her fourth career Grand Slam.
With this milestone, Sabalenka has become the first woman after Serena Williams in 2014 to defend the US Open title. The win also has extra significance because, the Belarusian avenged her Wimbledon semifinal loss to Anisimova by turning the tables in New York.

For the 24-year old Amanda Anisimova, the night ended on a bitter note as he faced another defeat in final – first one against Iga Swiatek in the Wimbledon final. But despite the loss, Anisimova remained on no.4 in WTA Rankings.

Sabalenka grabbed the first break, but Anisimova roared back with fearless hitting and had a surge ahead. But Sabalenka made a strong comeback with her third break opener and served out the set in 38 minutes. In the second set, Anisimova was determined to gain a lead but Sabalanka landed a timely break to edge closer to victory. With both players trading blows, the set inevitably headed to a tie-break. Sabalenka raced to a commanding 6-1 lead in the decider and, this time, left no door open.
