Arshad Nadeem, the acclaimed javelin thrower, has been showered with numerous honors and rewards after securing a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. His remarkable 92.97m throw not only earned him the top spot but also elevated him to the status of a national hero in Pakistan. Among the accolades, Nadeem received PKR 150 million, gold crowns, a civil award, and a Honda Civic car with a specially stylized number plate reading ‘PAK 92.97’. However, the most talked-about gift came from his father-in-law, who gifted him a buffalo.

The Buffalo Gift and Nadeem’s Amusing Response

In a lighthearted interview with Pakistan-based News, Nadeem humorously remarked on the gift from his father-in-law, who is the father of his wife, Ayesha. He jokingly suggested that he would have preferred five acres of land instead of the buffalo but acknowledged that a buffalo wasn’t a bad gift either. Ayesha admitted that she was unaware of the gift beforehand and only found out through the interview. Nadeem shared that he had teased his wife about the gift, playfully suggesting that her father could have given something else.
