Lok Sabha Speaker’s XI and Rajya Sabha Chairman’s XI are playing against each other in a special Tuberculosis awareness match. Both teams consisting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha member of Parliaments are part of the contest which has been named as TB Mukt Bharat Awareness Cricket Match. Big politicians such as Anurag Thakur, Kiren Rijiju, Raghav Chadha, Nishikant Dubey and many others are part of the match being played at the Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in New Delhi.

There were a flurry of moments experienced during the match out of which one was shared between Kiren Rijiju and Anurag Thakur. Rijiju cleaned up Thakur and he was walking back for a score of 42 runs. However, it was called a ‘no-ball’ by the umpire, though, the Hamirpur MP kept on walking back to the dressing room. The Rajya Sabha team began to celebrate the wicket but as soon as Anurag Thakur realised that he wasn’t out, came back and took his guard. The umpire called the ball a free hit and Rajya Sabha team refused to agree with umpire’s decision and protested in a funny manner. The video for the same went viral on the social media.

The friendly match between the Parliamentarians was won by Team Lok Sabha by a margin of 73 runs. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey won the awards for best fielder whereas Deepender Hooda was adjudged as the best batter.
