21-year-old striker Jhon Duran has bagged a multimillion-dollar move to Al-Nassr, which will see him earn £1,900 an hour following a €77 million transfer. He joined the ranks of international superstars with a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Saudi Pro League powerhouses that include Cristiano Ronaldo, Aymeric Laporte, and Sadi Mane. TNT Sports states that Duran’s annual salary at Al-Nassr is a staggering £16.7 million ($21 million), a pay that works out to £46,000 a day and £31 a minute. The pay here is a shocking leap from the £75,000-per-week salary that he enjoyed at Aston Villa, indicating the financial muscle of football in Saudi Arabia.
Jhon Duran’s Rapid Rise From MLS To Al-Nassr
Jhon Duran’s ascent to fame has been meteoric since joining Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in 2023 for approximately $18 million (£14.75 million). The Colombian-born forward is seen as one of Villa’s hidden gems in the future after netting 12 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions for the season. More often than not, he played a second fiddle, starting only seven times in 55 Premier League appearances, but his prospects and performances soon made the headlines, culminating in a move to Al-Nassr, who had set their sights on securing the young forward after he joined the Saudi Pro League and found himself among some footballing greats.

Duran Takes No.9 At Al-Nassr And Prepares For Debut
Al-Nassr paid £64 million ($80 million) to sign Jhon Duran after Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca left earlier in January. The Colombian striker will wear the No.9 shirt at Al-Awwal Park, stepping into an important attacking role at the Saudi Pro League side. Duran could make his debut as early as Monday, when Al-Nassr takes on Al-Wasl in the AFC Champions League. Duran is expected to play in a powerful front three alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and former Liverpool man Sadio Mane, a great boost of attacking dimension into an already star-studded squad.
