Travellers across India are facing difficulties as IndiGo flights disruption going on across the country for 3 days as more than 8 flights going out of Visakhapatnam, including one international flight to Abu Dhabi were cancelled today (December 5).
No. of flights cancelled for Visakhapatnam
A total of 16 flights have been cancelled from Visakhapatnam over the last three days, as of the morning of December 5. The IndiGo flights affected so far include:
218 (Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam–Bengaluru), 307(Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam–Hyderabad), 1444 (Abu Dhabi–Visakhapatnam–Abu Dhabi), 6645 (Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam–Hyderabad), 6089 (Chennai–Visakhapatnam–Chennai), 779 (Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam–Hyderabad), and 617 (Kolkata–Visakhapatnam–Kolkata).
Struggle for fans
Fans across India travelling to Visakhapatnam (Vizag) on December 5 to watch Indian legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the high-voltage match between India and South Africa for the 3rd ODI on December 5 faced problems as their flights were cancelled and didn’t have any alternatives for it.
The Members of Team India and the South African cricket team have already arrived in Visakhapatnam on December 4.
Airfare skyrocketing
The fares on alternative flights skyrocketed with the cancellation of IndiGo flights. For two days, Friday and Saturday, the amount is Rs 1,01,030 and Rs 1,14,260 from New Delhi to Vizag, the amount which can be compared to the flight going to USA, Australia and Canada.

As fans are struggling to go by air, most of the people are still figuring out and going by train routes to watch their favourite stars play on December 5.
