AFG vs SA: Afghanistan Announced The Team, Star Player Returns, 2 Strong Players Omitted

Afghanistan has announced the team for the three-match ODI series against South Africa. While star players have returned to this team, on the other hand, some young players have been given a chance.

Afghanistan Cricket Team: The Afghanistan team is in India these days. Where it is playing the only Test against New Zealand in Greater Noida. However, due to rain, this match has not been completed yet. Which has created a lot of uproar. Meanwhile, Afghanistan has announced the team for the ODI series to be played against South Africa. Afghanistan’s 17-member team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa in the UAE from September 18.

Rashid Khan Is Back

Star player Rashid Khan has returned to the Afghan team. Rashid was out of the ODI series against Ireland due to injury. Two strong players Ibrahim Zadran and Mujeeb ur Rahman will also not be on the team. Zadran is out due to an ankle sprain. While Mujeeb has a sprain in his right leg. However, young players have been given a place to fill their void.

Two Young Guns Got Place

Due to the exclusion of two star players, young player and right-handed top-order batsman Abdul Malik has been given a place. He had recently performed brilliantly in domestic cricket. On the other hand, Darvesh Rasooli, who has experience of seven T20 International matches, has also got a place. The team will be captained by Hashmatullah Shahidi. While Rahmat Shah has been made the vice-captain.
