AEW: AEW Dynamite Last week’s show of AEW Dynamite was no less than horrific and gruesome. A lethal fight between two WWE superstars from the past witnessed some drastic use of weapons, leaving spectators speechless. The battle was between Jon Moxley (former Dean Ambrose in WWE) and Copeland (former Edge in WWE).
Moxley successfully defended his AEW World Championship against Copeland in a No Disqualification Street Fight. Both veterans put in a harrowing performance and were given massive cheers by the audience. Eventually, Moxley emerged victorious by choking Copeland, retaining his title in a thrilling way.
Jon Moxley And Copeland Gave It Their All
The bout witnessed mayhem unfold in various parts—from backstage and the arena corridors to the ringside section. At one time, Moxley had Copeland’s neck stuck in a chair, having the advantage. The scariest moment was when a hammer embedded with nails was brought into the fray.
Copeland employed the weapon on Moxley, leaving him seriously hurt. Wheeler Yuta also jumped in, attacking Copeland, while both wrestlers’ supporters joined in, contributing to the chaos. At some point, it seemed like the former WWE champion would emerge victorious, but that was reversed when Willow Nightingale stepped in, breaking Copeland’s momentum.
Taking advantage, Moxley applied a Bulldog Choke, prompting the referee to stop the match, declaring him the victor.
A Frightening Moment In the AEW Ring
The hammer with nails was the star of the show. Copeland at one point slammed Moxley onto the spiked hammer, delivering a vicious suplex. The force of the fall drove several nails deep into Moxley’s back, and he writhed in agony as the hammer remained lodged in his skin.
Yuta and the referee frantically attempted to remove the hammer, but it was stuck in his back. The graphic scene shocked fans, and many couldn’t believe their eyes. After a difficult battle, Moxley freed himself, kept fighting, and finally emerged victorious.
But this degree of extreme violence is nothing new for Moxley, a renowned hardcore wrestling aficionado.
