New Delhi: Noah Okafor will complete his medical at Milan on Saturday. The Swiss striker will travel to Milan and where he will play under Stefano Pioli. Italian sources claim the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Salzburg to sign the 23-year-old forward, who will undergo a medical on Saturday.
Okafor’s club career
The Swiss international scored in the Champions League group stage against Milan last season. He joined Salzburg from Basel in January 2020, replacing Erling Haaland, who joined Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga in January 2020. Okafor has scored 34 goals in 110 caps for Austria.

Positions at which Okafor can play
Standing 1.85 meters tall, he primarily plays as a centre-forward, but his speed and quality with the ball under his feet allow him to play on the right or left wing. On paper, he will alternate with Olivier Giroud in the Rossoneri attack in 2023/24, but he could also start on the left wing if Rafael Leo needs a break, or on the right in place of Cristian Pulisic, Alexis Saeremachers and Samuel Chukwueze, whose moves to AC Milan are imminent.
AC Milan to sign both Okafor & Chukwueze
Stefano Pioli revealed last week that he wants a fast and strong player on the right wing in one-on-one situations, and both Okafor and Chukwueze fit that description. According to Transfermarkt, Okafor has scored 25 goals in 64 appearances as a centre-forward, 17 goals in 64 appearances on the left wing and 9 goals in 38 appearances on the right wing.
His best season was 2021/22, scoring 14 goals in 34 appearances for Salzburg. He played 10 of 32 games for Austria last season.
In fact, according to Niccolò Sira, Samuel Chukwueze is now one step closer to a move to AC Milan. Villarreal’s Nigerian right wing could sign a deal worth €28m, including bonuses. As for the player’s personal conditions, he is contracted until June 2027 with a season salary of 3 million euros.
