Abhishek Sets New Indian Record with Rapid 1,000 T20I Runs
The 25-year-old notched up a record for India when he was the fastest Indian to cross the 1,000 T20I runs mark in the number of matches and innings played according to this goal set during his 28th innings.
Virat Kohli got to the 1,000 T20I runs milestone in fewer games than Abhishek when he accomplished this mark in 27 innings. The total number of T20I run scorers with the fastest 1,000 recorded is maintained by Abhishek ahead of Suryakumar Yadav (573 balls) and Finn Allen (611 balls) due to his much better strike rate.
