Mr. 360 and former Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicket-keeper batter, AB de Villiers, returns to India to support his former franchise after it qualified for the playoffs. The Proteas posted on his Instagram story after he landed in India. Although he has arrived in India in the final week of IPL but his arrival marks one more aspect here apart from supporting RCB for their campaign in this IPL. He is in Mumbai to support a cleanliness project, ‘Project Mumbai’. He may also catch up with his former RCB teammates and staff and offer his expertise and experience to lead the Bengaluru based franchise to take away its maiden IPL title.

AB de Villiers played most of his IPL games for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. With the side in 2011, he was a member until he retired in 2021. While with the team, the right-handed batter played 157 matches and made 4522 runs during 145 innings. At 41.10, the South African great made 42 lots of 50 or more and 37 lots of 90 or less.
