Now, Cricbuzz has reported in its report that it may take ten days to two weeks for the new retention policy to come. In such a situation, the new policy can come out by the end of September. Only after this it will be known how many players the teams can retain before the auction. There is also a meeting of BCCI on 29 September. Although it has nothing to do with IPL, but it is believed that the new retention policy can be announced around this time.
RTM May Return
If media reports are to be believed, this time RTM i.e. Right to Match card will also be used in the auction. Let us tell you that BCCI had brought this rule in the 2014 IPL auction. However, later they removed this rule. It is being told that many teams have demanded to bring back this rule. Because of this, BCCI is also considering this rule.
Apart from this, players who have retired from international cricket can be included in the list of uncapped players. If this happens, then former Team India captain MS Dhoni can also be seen in the list of uncapped players.
