Singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose song ‘Bado Badi’ has become an internet hit, aims to become the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to guide the team in the right direction. He has called on the current PCB chief, Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Interior Minister, to step down from the PCB role due to his already significant responsibilities. Chahat’s comments follow Pakistan’s elimination from the ongoing T20 World Cup under Babar Azam’s leadership.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan Ready To Be PCB Chairman
“I am ready to get the PCB and the cricket team on the right track. If appointed chairman, I would personally oversee player performances and coaching four days a week. I will focus on discipline and will not tolerate any interference,” Khan told Geo News.
“I am not criticising Naqvi. I just want him to consider my offer. As he is also the interior minister with significant responsibilities, I believe he should delegate the PCB chairmanship to me. This is no disrespect to Mohsin Naqvi but it’s not for him,” he added.
Despite a disappointing campaign, Babar Azam’s unbeaten 32 helped Pakistan secure a 3-wicket win over Ireland in Florida on Sunday. Pakistan struggled to chase down a target of 107, but Babar’s steady performance ensured they avoided further embarrassment. Previously, Pakistan suffered a shocking Super Over defeat to the United States and failed to chase 120 against India.
In the match against Ireland, Shaheen Afridi and Imad Wasim each took three wickets, restricting Ireland to 106 for 9 after being asked to bat first. Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf contributed with two and one wicket, respectively. Both Pakistan and Ireland were already out of the tournament.
