On Thursday, Baroda set the record for the highest ever T20 score by putting up a massive 349/5 against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, held in Indore. The team, under the leadership of captain Krunal Pandya, unleashed a brutal assault on the Sikkim bowlers, dominating the game from start to finish.
Bhanu Pania’s Stunning Knock Of 134*
Bhanu Pania remained the standout performer of the game as he smashed his explosive unbeaten knock for 134 runs off 51 balls. He stroked 15 sixes and five fours, bringing his team to an unbeatable total. Powerful hitting was the highlight of batting innings by Pania whose innings set the tone of his record-breaking score for his team.

Other notable contributions were made by opener Abhimanyu Singh (53 off 17 balls), Shivalik Sharma (55 off 17 balls), and wicket-keeper Vikram Solanki (50 off 16 balls). Such half-centuries hitting in such a short space of time helped Baroda to a humongous total, the batsmen collectively hitting 37 sixes and 18 fours leaving the Sikkim bowlers in tatters.
Bhanu Pania: The Emerging Star
Bhanu Pania is a 28-year-old right-handed middle-order batter who has made his mark in the lineup of Baroda. Pania was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, he further debuted for Baroda in List A and T20 in 2021. His first-ever T20 century was against Sikkim, which was also his highest score so far at 55.
