New Delhi: Air India on Friday announced its plan to hire over 4,200 cabin crew trainees and 900 pilots this year. The airline has been working on a plan to expand its domestic and international operations. 

Airline would provide a 15 week  training program to cabin crews pertaining to safety and service skills, the airline said in a statement. The training program will include extensive classroom and in-flight training at the Air India’s training facility in Mumbai.

Recently, In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Joe Biden, Air India has decided to buy 470 aircraft from Boeing and Airbus under deals worth tens of billions of dollars.

Sandeep Verma, Head of Inflight Services, said that the airline is planning to expand its operation in the International and domestic market. The cabin crew will play a decisive role in shaping the present and future of the Air India Group with more flights, he added

The airline said in a statement that Air India has hired over 1,900 cabin crew  between May 2022 and February 2023 and over 1,100 cabin crew have been trained in the last seven months.
