Thursday Vrat: Today is 3rd November 2022 and last Thursday of Kartik month. Jupiter is an important planet. Brihaspati is also called the Guru of the Gods. Thursday Remedies (Guruwar ke Upay)
- Get up in Brahma Muhurta and take a bath.
- To remove the defects of Guru, take a bath by adding a pinch of turmeric in the bath water on Thursday.
- At the time of bath also chant ‘Om Brihaspate Namah’.
- Along with this, while taking a bath, one must also chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’.
- Keep a fast on Thursday and offer water to a banana plant and offer prayers. By doing this, the obstacles in marriage are resolved and if you are married then there will be no problem in your married life.
- Wear yellow colored clothes after bath.
- After bath, light a lamp of ghee in front of the idol and picture of Lord Vishnu.
- Offer a small Tulsi leaf along with yellow colored flowers to Lord Vishnu.
- Wear a tilak of turmeric, sandalwood or saffron on your forehead. According to the belief, Lord Jupiter likes yellow things very much. Therefore, donate yellow colored things like gram dal, fruits etc. to Brahmins on this day.
- On this day, keep gram dal and a little jaggery at the main door of the house in the morning.
- This day is also considered very important in terms of religious importance. Thursday is considered the most auspicious day for the prosperity of the house. Yellow colored things are given special importance on this day.
