The second day is believed to be crucial as the devotees do waterless fast. On the eve of Kharna, the second day of the Chhath, devotees break their fast by offering food to the Sun God. The sunrise time would be 06:46 am and the sunset time will be 17:26 pm.
On the third day, the Aghya is offered at dusk, however, the fast continues throughout the night. The sunrise and sunset are scheduled for 06:46 am and 5:26 pm respectively.
The 36-hour fast is broken on the final day of Chhath which is known to be Usha Arghya. Here the Arghya is offered to the rising sun. The sunrise time on this day is 06:47 am and the sunset time is 17:26 pm.
Meanwhile, a special train service has been introduced between Puri and Patna on the eve of Chhath Puja by the East Coast Railway (ECoR).
The train will run twice a week from both stations to accommodate the additional rush of passengers during Chhath Puja for the convenience of travelers.
