Tirupati Balaji: Lord Balaji’s net worth at the Tirumala Hill shrine has reportedly set a new record, surpassing the market capitalization of major stock market-listed companies in the nation. Comparatively, the market capitalization of companies like TATA Motors, Nestle, and Bajaj Finserv stands at Rs 2.6 lakh crore, while the deity’s assets boast a net worth nearing Rs 3 lakh crore.

Deity’s Wealth Unveiled:

As per the white paper released by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in 2022, Sri Venkateswara Swamy’s net worth of assets amounted to Rs 2.5 lakh crore. Sources within TTD suggest that the net worth may have escalated to nearly Rs 3 lakh crore, considering the 2022 white paper was released over 14 months ago.

Tirupati Balaji – Income Streams of Lord Balaji:

The Hundi of Lord Balaji in Tirumala generates an annual income of Rs 1,400 crore, eclipsing the annual incomes of notable figures like Sachin Tendulkar (Rs 1,300 crore) and Virat Kohli (Rs 1,000 crore). Lord Balaji’s revenue sources include direct offerings, devotees’ hair donations, interest on fixed deposits, and significant donations to various TTD-run trusts.

Tirupati Balaji – Asset Details and Gold Reserves:

TTD’s executive officer, Dharma Reddy, disclosed the details of Lord Balaji’s assets. Notably, 11,225 kg of gold in the deity’s name was deposited in various banks. The presiding deity’s golden ornaments weighed 1088.62 Kg, and silver ornaments weighed 9071.85 Kg.

Immovable Assets and Temple Associations:

The temple’s assets encompass 6,000 acres of forest land, 7,636 acres of properties across 75 locations, including agricultural and non-agricultural land. Seventy-one temples across India operate in association with TTD, managing 535 other assets, generating an annual income of Rs 4 crore through leased assets.

Tirupati Balaji – Kalyana Mandapams and Revenue Generation:

TTD operates Kalyana Mandapams (wedding venues) at 307 locations, with 29 leased to the endowment department and 166 leased to others. The annual income from these leased mandapams is expected to be Rs 4 crore. Additionally, through the SRIVANI Trust, TTD runs 97 mandapams, having collected donations worth Rs 1,021 crores from devoted contributors.
