On the same day, Yama Deepam is also observed. The Pradosh Kaal falls between 5:48 pm and 8:20 pm, while the Vrishabha Kaal is from 7:16 PM to 9:11 PM. The Trayodashi Tithi will begin at 12:18 pm on October 18 and end at 1:51 PM on October 19.

Diwali 2025 Calendar
Diwali spans five days dedicated to Dhanteras, Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali), Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj.
Dhanteras (Day 1): Diwali celebrations kick off with Dhanteras. On this day, devotees worship Lord Kuber and Goddess Lakshmi, and buy gold coins, bars, or jewellery.
Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali) (Day 2): Naraka Chaturdashi, also known as Choti Diwali, is celebrated after Dhanteras to mark Lord Krishna’s triumph over Narakasura.
Diwali (Day 3): Diwali celebrates Lord Rama, Mata Sita, and Lakshman’s return to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile. It marks the victory of good over evil. Devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh on Deepawali.
Govardhan Puja (Day 4): Celebrated after Diwali, Govardhan Puja honours Govardhan Parvat, which was lifted by Lord Krishna to protect the people of Mathura from Lord Indra’s wrath.
Bhai Dooj (Day 5): The last and final day of Diwali is Bhai Dooj. It celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters.
