Yuzvendra Chahal As I-T Officer, MS Dhoni As Lt Colonel – 8 Indian Cricketers With Prestigious Side Careers

Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Mohammed Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal also have side jobs alongside their cricketing stardom. These players have been bestowed with several official duties in the name of their much valued contribution to the game.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who announced his retirement from international cricket, but he still plays for CSK in the IPL as a system vice captain. He additionally holds the post of honorary Lt Colonel in the Indian Army and was also part of Army s parachute regiment.

Sachin Tendulkar The God of cricket retired from International cricket in 2013 after playing for many years. In 2010, he was knighted as Group Captain by Indian air force for the Serses of helping load cricket

Apart from his successful stint in cricket, KL Rahul (Indian batter) works in a govt job with Reserve Bank Of India (RBI). He has also appeared in RBI commercials for awareness about scams and frauds.

Beside his cricket, Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also an Income Tax officer in Haryana.

Mohammed Siraj India pace duo is a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana other than his cricket career. Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy announced that Siraj will be given a Group-I government job for his T20 World Cup 2024 victory in India.

Last-over hero Squandered his last T20 World Cup final against Pakistan in 2007, Joginder Sharma is a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) these days. Following cricket, he became a full-time government job.

In 2008, the Indian Territorial Army promoted Kapil Dev (former India Captain who led the team to their one and only World Cup triumph in1983) to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Apart from his cricketing career, Indian pacer Umesh Yadav is an Assistant Manager in the Nagpur office of Reserve Bank of India.
