YEAR ENDER 2025: Sai Sudharsan to Virat Kohli….Top 10 highest run-scorers in IPL 2025

The 18th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) were absolutely thrilling and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) emerged as the winners of 2025 season. But this edition also witnessed some of the top performers and young names like Sai Sudharsan emerging as the orange cap holder with highest runs in the season.

Sai Sudharsan was the standout performer of IPL 2025, topping the run charts with 759 runs in 15 matches at an impressive average of 54.21. His highest score of 108* showcased his ability to anchor the innings while maintaining a brisk strike rate of 156.17. With 88 fours and 21 sixes, Sudharsan consistently provided Gujarat Titans with explosive starts and match-winning contributions.

Surya Kumar Yadav continued his fine form for Mumbai Indians, amassing 717 runs in 16 innings, remaining not out 5 times. Averaging 65.18 at a strike rate of 167.91, Yadav’s consistency at the top of the order was remarkable. He struck 69 fours and 38 sixes, proving himself as one of the most dynamic batters in the league this season.

Virat Kohli once again delivered for RCB, scoring 657 runs in 15 innings at an average of 54.75. With a strike rate of 144.71, he combined classical strokeplay with modern T20 aggression. Kohli notched eight fifties and struck 66 fours and 19 sixes, consistently providing stability and finishing power for his team.

Shubman Gill played a crucial role for Gujarat Titans, scoring 650 runs in 15 innings at an average of 50.00. He impressed with a strike rate of 155.87 and a highest score of 93*. Gill hit 62 fours and 24 sixes, anchoring many chases and forming a reliable partnership with Sudharsan at the top of the order.

Mitchell Marsh was a powerhouse for LSG, scoring 627 runs in just 13 innings at a strike rate of 163.70. He hit a spectacular 117 as his highest score and recorded six fifties. Marsh’s 56 fours and 37 sixes demonstrated his ability to turn games around quickly with aggressive batting, making him one of the most destructive all-rounders of IPL 2025.

Shreyas Iyer’s 604 runs in 17 innings at an average of 50.33 showcased his dominance for PBKS. With a blistering strike rate of 175.07, Iyer was a top-order batter capable of changing games in a single session. He scored six fifties, including a highest of 97*, and hit 43 fours alongside 39 sixes.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 559 runs in 14 innings for Rajasthan Royals, averaging 43.00. His aggressive strokeplay and quick scoring made him a consistent threat, particularly with 60 fours and 28 sixes. Jaiswal’s highest score of 75 helped anchor crucial chases and gave RR a solid start in many matches.

Prabhsimran Singh provided blazing starts for PBKS, scoring 549 runs in 17 innings at a strike rate of 160.52. Despite a slightly lower average of 32.29, his attacking style yielded 56 fours and 30 sixes. His highest score of 91 highlighted his potential to dominate bowlers in the powerplay.

KL Rahul impressed for Delhi Capitals with 539 runs in 13 innings at an average of 53.90. His strike rate of 149.72, combined with a highest score of 112*, made him a dependable top-order batter. Rahul also hit 52 fours and 21 sixes, delivering key innings that often set up victories for DC.

Jos Buttler concluded the season strongly, scoring 538 runs in 13 innings at an average of 59.78 and a strike rate of 163.03. He narrowly missed a century with a highest score of 97* and struck 52 fours alongside 24 sixes. Buttler’s explosive batting ensured Gujarat Titans had firepower throughout the innings and contributed to several wins.
