2025 was a landmark year for the India-Pakistan rivalry. While Virat Kohli and Tilak Varma powered India to senior glory.

In 2025, the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry reached a fever pitch, with the two giants meeting four times at the senior level and twice more in the Under-19 circuit. It was a year defined by India's dominance in senior tournaments and Pakistan's historic resurgence in youth cricket.

The senior Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma in ODIs and Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is, enjoyed a perfect record against their arch-rivals this year.

ICC Champions Trophy (Feb 23): India kicked off the year with a 6-wicket victory in Dubai. Virat Kohli was the hero, scoring his 51st ODI century (100*) to comfortably chase down Pakistan’s 241.

Asia Cup Group Stage (Sept 14): In a T20 format, India’s spinners restricted Pakistan to just 127. Suryakumar Yadav (47) anchored a 7-wicket win.

Asia Cup Super Fours (Sept 21): Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill shared a century opening stand to help India chase 172 with 6 wickets to spare.

Asia Cup Final (Sept 28): For the first time in history, the two met in an Asia Cup Final. Pakistan collapsed from 113/1 to 146 all out. Tilak Varma (69*) guided India to their 9th title.

Women's World Cup: In the 2025 Women’s World Cup, India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs in Colombo. India posted 247, led by Harleen Deol (46), before Kranti Gaud’s 3/20 dismantled Pakistan for 159.
