Jaswinder Bhalla Passes Away: A Look Back At His Most Iconic Punjabi Films

Renowned comedian and veteran Punjabi actor Jaswinder Bhalla passed away on Tuesday morning at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after a prolonged illness. He was 65 years old. Over his long career, Bhalla acted in numerous successful Punjabi films, leaving behind an extraordinary body of work. Some of his most memorable films include:

Mahaul Theek Hai - It is a 1999 Indian Punjabi language comedy film directed by Jaspal Bhatti. The film is a satire of police departments of Punjab and their functioning.

Jihne Mera Dil Luteya - It is a 2011 Indian Punjabi language romantic comedy film directed by Mandeep Kumar with story and screenplay by Dheeraj Rattan, starring Gippy Grewal, Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, and Binnu Dhillon.

Kabaddi Once Again - It is a 2012 Punjabi film starring Varinder Singh Ghuman, Sudeepa Singh, Jaswinder Bhalla, Binnu Dhillon and Nachhatar Gill.

Carry On Jatta - It is a 2012 Indian Punjabi comedy film directed by Smeep Kang and starring Gippy Grewal, and Mahie Gill.

Jatt & Juliet - It is a 2012 Indian Punjabi-language romantic comedy film directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Darshan Singh Grewal and Gunbir Singh Sidhu. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh opposite Neeru Bajwa. It also won multiple awards at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2013 including for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. It also stars Upasana Singh as Channo and Jaswinder Bhalla as Joginder Singh.

Jatt Airways - Two brothers want to get married to two sisters. Due to some misunderstanding between girls and boys they start hating each other. Surprising twists, fight between police and villain, and appearance of a wandering soul too give a different angle in the story.
