IPL 2025: Highlights Of The CSK Vs RCB Match | In Pics

Yesterday was the 8th match of IPL 2025 which was between CSK and RCB at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai. RCB won the match by 50 runs after an 17-year absence. The opening batting performance of RCB resulted in 196/7 total runs as CSK failed to overtake RCB’s tight bowling performance during their run chase.

The match between CSK vs RCb started with the toss in which CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Phil Salt and Virat Kohli entered the match as the openers for RCB and Phil did not disappoint at all as he made a quick start by hitting two 4s in the 4th and 5th bowl of the 1st over.

Virat Kohli got struck by Matheesha Pathirana's bouncer as he misses his pull and took a blow on the helmet.

Rajat Patidar even though he had a slow start in the match he still played the crucial middle over knocks and made a half-century.

Liam Livingstone made his way back to the RCB bench yet again with scoring a pretty low score of just 10 runs and then got out by Noor Ahmad.

Tim David's hat-trick of three 6s in the last over of the RCB's batting innings made RCB giving a target of 197 runs to CSK for chasing.

Rachin Ravindra kept one end of the wicket steady in the chase against RCB till 1st ball of the 12th over in which he got out Yash Dayal after scoring 41 runs in 31 balls.

Not long after taking Rachin Ravindra's wicket Yash Dayal was able to take yet another wicket of Shivam Dube in 5th ball of the 12th over for his team.

Ravindra Jadeja got out by Hazlewood in the 4th ball of 18th over just after scoring 25 runs in 19 balls and hitting two 4s and a 6.

Even though Dhoni scored 30 runs in 16 balls and hit 5 boundaries( three 4s and two 6s) it still was not enough for them to chase the target set by RCB.

RCB celebrated their first win of IPL 2025 in yesterday's match after defeating CSK by 50 runs.
